Fashion retail lighting with aimable track spotlights

APPLICATION 01

Fashion retail lighting

Fashion retail lighting has one job that outranks the others: the customer has to be able to judge the colour of the garment. Everything else - the atmosphere, the sense of a considered interior, the ability to redirect light when the display changes - follows from getting that right.

Optical shop lighting with controlled accent spotlights

APPLICATION 03

Optical retail lighting

An optician's display is a lighting problem of small distances. Frames sit close together at eye level, the objects are small and shiny, and the customer has to judge a colour and a finish they will wear on their face. Everything is decided within a metre or two.

Salon and hospitality interior lighting

APPLICATION 04

Salon & hospitality lighting

A salon or hospitality interior is lit for people who are sitting down, often for a long time, frequently looking at themselves in a mirror. That changes the brief: comfort and flattery matter more than drama, and the light has to work at seated height rather than from above a standing customer.

Bakery and food display lighting

APPLICATION 05

Food display lighting

Food display lighting is the clearest case where the light is doing commercial work. The same loaf of bread reads as fresh or as tired depending on the colour temperature it is seen under, and a counter lit evenly from above reads flatter than one where each product group is lit on its face.
